Vinyl Siding Repair in Florida

Cracked panels, loose courses, faded colors, or storm damage? We repair vinyl siding cleanly and color-match replacements so the patch isn’t obvious.

Vinyl siding is the most common exterior on Northeast Florida homes built since the 1990s, and for good reason — it’s low-maintenance, holds up well to humidity, and replaces cleanly when one panel fails. The catch is that vinyl gets brittle as it ages, especially on west- and south-facing walls that take the most UV. Once it’s brittle, even a moderate storm or a stray ladder can crack a panel that used to be flexible.

We repair vinyl every week throughout St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, and Palm Coast. Most repairs are quick, clean, and surprisingly affordable.

Common vinyl siding problems we fix

Every week:

  • Cracked or impact-broken panels — usually a quick replacement
  • Loose courses that have come unlocked from the panel above
  • Storm-blown panels that need re-securing or replacement
  • Brittle panels at corners and around openings
  • Faded sections, especially on south-facing walls
  • J-channel, corner posts, and trim that have warped or pulled away

How vinyl repair actually works

Vinyl panels lock into the panel above and the panel below. To replace one, we use a zip tool to unhook the lock, slide the damaged panel out, slide the new panel in, and re-lock the courses. When done correctly, the repair is invisible from the street. The trick is sourcing a panel that matches both the profile and the color.

For older or discontinued vinyl, we can sometimes pull a matching panel from a less visible elevation (a back wall, behind a porch) and use it on the visible repair, replacing the back-wall panel with the closest available match. This is a common trick on homes 15+ years old.

When repair isn’t enough

If panels across multiple walls are brittle and cracking, the vinyl is at end of life and patching becomes a temporary fix. We’ll be honest about that and lay out what a phased or full replacement would look like, so you can plan instead of constantly reacting.

Storm-related vinyl damage

Wind is hard on vinyl. Even when nothing visible breaks, panels can become unlocked or loosened by a storm. We re-secure what we can, replace what we can’t, and document everything for any insurance follow-up.
