Florida storms damage siding in ways that aren’t always obvious. A panel can be lifted and reseated by wind without showing a single visible crack — and that opening lets water into the wall every time it rains for the next several years. Hail can leave dents that look cosmetic but compromise the panel. Flying debris can crack fiber cement at the fastener line. And a missing roof shingle can dump water down the siding for days.

We respond fast across St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, and Palm Coast, and we give you the documentation your insurance company will actually act on.

What we look for after a storm

A proper post-storm inspection covers more than the parts you can see from the ground:

  • Lifted, reseated, or loose panels that won’t show until the wind blows again
  • Hairline cracks at fastener points where panels flexed under wind load
  • Hail dents and impact bruises on fiber cement and aluminum trim
  • Water staining behind J-channel and around windows
  • Failed flashing at roof-to-wall transitions and chimney chases
  • Soffit, fascia, and trim damage from blowing debris
  • Sheathing moisture readings where we suspect water has gotten in

How we work with insurance

We are not public adjusters and we don’t file claims for you. What we do is give you the documentation that makes a fair claim much more likely: clear photos, measured damage areas, a written scope of repair, and material/labor breakdowns. When the adjuster comes out, you can hand them a complete file. If they want a phone conversation about the scope, we’ll take that call.

Be cautious of any contractor who shows up after a storm promising to “handle the insurance for you” or “waive your deductible.” That’s a red flag, and in many states it’s also illegal. Our job is to honestly document the damage and do the repair well.

Emergency stabilization

For active openings or leaks, we can usually be on site same-day or next-day to tarp, shrink-wrap, or temporarily seal the area. Stabilization protects the inside of the home from further damage while the full repair is scheduled and approved.

From inspection to finished repair

For the actual repair, we work the same way we would on any other job: written scope, scheduled date, clean execution, and a final walkthrough. If the storm exposed problems beyond the visible damage, we show you photos and discuss options before doing additional work.
